Signal Hill Foundation ~ Reaching Into All The World

El Salvador Mission 2012

Over twenty people from the States participated in the annual Benny Jackson Evangelistic Association mission to El Salvador. Over fifteen churches have been established in the last eighteen years. At least one new one was started this year. Medical clinics like the one here saw hundreds of men, women, and children diagnosed and treated for a malady of issues. Over 800 people came through the clinics. Over 2700 prescriptions were given. While the clinics were going on in the daytime, personal evangelism teams with an interpretor were sharing the Gospel in the clinics and moving among the people on the streets and in the neighborhoods. More than 160 people prayed and professed faith in Christ for salvation. Hundreds of tracts and Bibles were distributed. The churches were strengthened with nightly preaching services and conferences for men and women.

Witness Shoes To Uganda

Again, Exile International has come to the forefront as one of our partner teams. Recently, Signal Hill Foundation donated 485 pair of witness shoes for one of their teams to distribute in Uganda. Since the first of the year 2011 their teams have distributed 627 pairs.

These are no ordinary shoes. They carry the distinctive color markings that allow a presentation of the Gospel. We require that each pair given be accompanied by a Gospel witness. That means that the Gospel was personally shared by the team members over 600 times. Research indicates that the recipient often goes back to his or her home and explains the concept. We don’t really know how it may multiply. Only the Lord knows.

Dr. Bethany Haley, President and Founder of Exile International, and her teams, have been working in Uganda, Congo and other needy parts of Africa. Check out Dr.Haley’s beautiful website and blog at: www.exileinternational.org.

El Salvador Mission 2011

Twenty-one people from the States participated in the annual Benny Jackson Evangelistic Association mission to El Salvador. More than a dozen churches have been established in the last sixteen years. Medical clinics like the one here saw hundreds of men, women, and children diagnosed and treated for a malady of issues. While the clinics were going on in the daytime, personal evangelism teams with an interpretor were moving among the people on the streets and in the neighborhoods sharing the Gospel. More than 124 people prayed and professed faith in Christ for salvation. The churches, many of which were started in the last fifteen years, were strengthened with nightly preaching services and conferences for men and women. Shown in the picture is Jerry Smith and an executive from a large telecommunications firm who served as one of the chief interpretors. Behind them is an open-air clinic in progress.

Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary Support

Due to 70 years of Communist Captivity (1917-1987) “the Church in Russia has suffered the most severe and sustained persecution of any nation in recent history. …It is reckoned 200,000 Christian leaders were martyred and a further 500,000 imprisoned… (today) over 90% of Russians have no meaningful link with a church – whether Orthodox or not.” (Operation World Encyclopedia, p 541-542).

Signal Hill Foundation is a a proud sponsor of this organization established in 1993 to train pastors, missionaries and Christian workers with a goal to restore the Gospel Witness and build churches back in the former Soviet Union.

Shoes For Haitian Children

In April of 2010 Signal Hill Foundation donated several hundred pairs of children’s shoes through our partner groups – Exile International and a mission group from First Baptist Nashville.

The devastating earthquake left many people in desperate need. Signal Hill and partners were there to help.

Camino de Vida Mission

Pastor Robert Barriger and his family have been missionaries in Peru for over twenty years. He first started out ministering in the hot jungles, but eventually moved to Lima, the capital of Peru, to minister to youth.

With a handful of young but excited believers, he started a church, and now today Camino de Vida is a fast growing church of 5,000. He is involved in numerous ministry projects including a nationwide church planting movement, starting Camino de Vida churches all across the country.

His deep love for children prompted the startup of two orphanages that are now recognized by the national government as quality institutions of help for abused and neglected children. His wheelchair ministry alone has ministered to thousands of crippled people in the country.

His ministries have penetrated the neglected mountain regions and uncovered desperate communities of need which his church seeks to serve.

Needs that seem foreign to many of us are all too common in his arena. One such need presented itself in the form of worm medicine. Millions of pills are given to help rid the people of worm infestation.

Signal Hill Foundation has contributed a significant percentage of our total budget to the ministries of Pastor Robert and the great work in Peru. Here is a superb example of what one man with a vision can accomplish with the help and power of God.

We salute you and partner with you Pastor Robert and the ministers of Camino de Vida mission.

Thom and Michelle Hazlip and the Front Porch Ministry in Nashville

Here is just a regular family who decided to move into a community in need of ministry and start a mission to their neighbors. Read and hear how they are impacting their community and the lives of others for the Lord. We salute those who are doing missions at home and abroad. Here is an example of what any one of us can do if we are open to God’s leadership.

Medical Mission to El Salvador 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

For the last several years Sharon and I have had the privilege of participating in a medical mission to El Salvador. We serve on a team of between twenty and thirty other great workers. Tens of thousands of dollars (retail) worth of medicine are dispensed and the Gospel is shared with hundreds of people.

Although it is a medical mission we are able to form teams who distributed the unique Gospel Shoes. We have given away hundreds of pairs of shoes with an accompanying witness. Scores of people have professed faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Thirteen churches have been started over the last fifteen years, pastors have received training and thousands of believers have been added.

Signal Hill Foundation purchased 4,00 pairs of the unique witness tools called the Gospel Shoe from the Soles4Souls organization. We have been offering them to any mission group who will commit to using them to share the Gospel. Unlike other things the shoes share the Gospel with the colors of the Wordless Gospel colors. Those who receive them usually have to share the concept with others. So we really don’t know the multiplied impact they are having. Many people have professed faith in Christ as a result.

If you or your group would like to distribute and witness with the Gospel Shoes, just let me know. We give them away to legitimate mission groups while supplies last.

If you would like to donate to underwrite the cost of the Gospel Shoe ministry or any of our other projects it would be greatly appreciated.
